Phone Verification for Your Account via SMS 2FA

Perplexity may ask some users to verify their phone number before continuing to use the Perplexity app. This helps protect your accounts and adds an extra layer of security.

If you’re asked to verify your phone number, you’ll be guided through a short verification process. After entering your number, you’ll receive a code by SMS. Enter that code on the verification page to continue using Perplexity apps.

A few things to know:

  1. This verification will only be required once per account.

  2. Each Perplexity account can only be linked to one phone number.

  3. If verification is preventing you from accessing your account, Support may be able to help restore access.
