How to verify with SheerID for Education Pro Plan Access
Perplexity accounts can be created with any email (personal or student). If you have an existing account, click upgrade in the bottom left corner of the app, toggle to the Education plan, and click “Verify as student.”

Education Pro Support
As a Pro subscriber, you can access exclusive support channels:
Pro channel on Discord: Connect with our team and other Pro users.
Intercom support: Reach out directly through Intercom on your settings page. Our team prioritizes Pro inquiries and aims to respond within 1 to 2 business days.
Subscription Management
Make sure to cancel your Pro subscription before deleting your account, if you've added payment information.
If you subscribed on a desktop, cancel through your settings page. For app subscriptions, use your device’s subscription management settings.
Why is my Pro Status not Visible?
If your Education Pro status isn't showing up:
Check for payment issues – if you have a past due account, you may not get access to Pro right away.
Make sure your SheerID verification has been approved:
If it's still pending, you'll need to wait until SheerID verifies you.
If you've been rejected, you won't be able to take advantage of Education Pro at this time.
Verify you're logged in with the correct email.
You don't have to use the same email as your Perplexity account to verify with SheerID, so please ensure you remember which account you redeemed Education Pro on in order to be able to log in to the correct account and access your subscription.
Sometimes users redeem their Education Pro subscription on an Apple Relay email – be sure to check for any masking emails you may have signed up with.
Clear your cache and cookies.
Try resetting the app, if you're logged in on mobile.
